Poké Pyramid gives you eight characters and one category, and asks you to put them in order — strongest at the top, weakest at the bottom. The category changes daily and rotates through ten of them: overall power level, gym leader strength, villain threat, Elite Four power, Ash's rivals, ace Pokémon power, Ash's companions, professors, coordinators and performers, and legendary commanders.
What turns a tier list into a puzzle is the feedback. You only get four checks, and each one tells you which slots are right — nothing more. No "too high", no "off by one": just green locks and everyone else back in the pool.
How to play Poké Pyramid
Tap a character in the pool to pick them up, then tap a slot to place them. Tapping a filled slot with nothing selected sends that character back to the pool, and tapping it while holding someone swaps the two. Check Order only becomes available once all eight slots are filled.
When you check, every character standing in their correct position locks in green and stays there for the rest of the puzzle. Everyone in the wrong place is marked with a red cross and returned to the pool for you to try again.
You get four checks. Solving it on the first is worth ten thousand points, then seven thousand five hundred, five thousand, and two thousand five hundred on the last. Miss all four and the correct order is revealed. The category rotates at midnight UTC and each day can only be played once.
Ordering eight characters in four checks
Place the ends first. The top and bottom of a category are usually the least contested — the obvious strongest and the obvious weakest — and getting them right on the first check locks two slots and shortens every guess that follows.
Do not check to gather information you could have reasoned out. A check that locks one slot has cost you a quarter of your attempts for a single fact, so it is worth an extra minute deciding between two adjacent characters before pressing the button.
Use the locks as walls. Once slot three is green, every character still in the pool belongs either above it or below it, and that halves the permutations you are still choosing between — which is exactly why the middle of the pyramid should be your last worry, not your first.
Frequently asked questions
How many attempts do I get?
Four checks. Correct placements lock permanently after each one, so every check makes the remaining puzzle smaller.
Does it tell me how wrong a placement was?
No. The only feedback is which slots are correct — wrong placements simply return to the pool, with no indication of how far off they were.
Is there a timer?
No. You can take as long as you like over the order; only the number of checks is limited.
How is it scored?
Ten thousand points for solving it on the first check, then seven thousand five hundred, five thousand and two thousand five hundred. Running out of checks scores nothing.
Does the category change?
Yes, every day at midnight UTC, cycling through ten categories, and everyone gets the same one.
