Region Quiz
Name all characters in a group before time runs out!

Region Quiz is a name-them-all challenge against a clock that moves in both directions. You are given one group — the Kanto region, the Elite Four, fire-type specialists, everyone who owns a legendary — and you type every character who belongs to it before time runs out.
Groups are built from the character database rather than a fixed question list, so the same rules produce regions, trainer classes, organizations, signature types, debut series, female characters, legendary owners, high power levels and non-human Pokémon. Everyone gets the same group on their first run of the day, which makes a "found fourteen of seventeen" comparison an honest one.
How to play Region Quiz
The header names the group and a progress bar tracks how many of its members you have found. Type a name — the autocomplete suggests up to eight portraits from two letters onward, arrow keys move through them and Enter submits. Correct names turn into green pills, wrong ones into red.
The clock is the entire resource. You start with ten seconds per member of the group, floored at thirty seconds and capped at two minutes. Every correct name adds five seconds and every wrong one costs three, so a confident run can last far longer than it started with and a scattergun run dies quickly.
Naming everyone finishes the round at a hundred percent. Running out of time or giving up scores the share you reached, and the end screen shows the full roster with the ones you missed greyed out. You get ten runs a day, and the leaderboard ranks by how many characters you named, with time breaking ties.
Getting more names on the board
Empty out the obvious names first and keep typing. The five-second bonus means a fast streak of certain answers is what buys you time to think about the awkward ones later, and stalling on a name you half-remember while the clock drains is the most common way to lose a round you could have finished.
Do not fight the spelling. Partial names count from three letters, and the game accepts the shorthand people actually use — "Ash", "Surge", "Professor Oak", "Pikachu" — so type the short form and move on rather than reaching for a full title.
A wrong guess costs three seconds, which is little on its own but ruinous in a chain. When you have run out of certain names, work through the group systematically — by region, by generation, by anime arc — instead of guessing whoever comes to mind, and remember that re-submitting a name you already found is free.
Frequently asked questions
How long do I get?
Ten seconds for each character in the group, never less than thirty seconds or more than two minutes. Correct answers add five seconds and wrong ones subtract three.
Is there a limit on guesses?
No. You can keep guessing for as long as the clock lasts — only time punishes a mistake.
Does everyone get the same group?
On the first run of the day, yes: the group comes from the date, so scores are directly comparable. Later runs the same day move to other groups.
How many times can I play?
Ten runs a day. The first is the one that takes your place on the daily leaderboard.
What counts as a correct name?
An exact match, a substring of at least three letters, or a recognised nickname — so both "Ketchum" and "Ash" find Ash Ketchum.
